1. The Web Connector, not a cloud API
QuickBooks Desktop isn't a cloud product, so Pileform posts to it through Intuit's own QuickBooks Web Connector (qbXML): your desktop QuickBooks periodically pulls queued entries over a password-protected connection, rather than Pileform pushing to a cloud account, because there isn't one.
2. Setting it up
You install the Web Connector alongside your existing QuickBooks Desktop installation and point it at Pileform using a password you set; from then on, confirmed entries wait in a queue that your desktop QuickBooks collects the next time it connects. See understanding the review screen for how an entry becomes "ready to post" in the first place.
3. What posts, and other options
Confirmed entries queue for QuickBooks Desktop the same way they'd post as Bills or Journal Entries in QuickBooks Online, and posting stays idempotent either way, no duplicate entries land in your file. Prefer the cloud product instead, or want to compare routes? See connecting Xero or QuickBooks Online or the full integrations page.
