Posting to BTMS through the on-premise connector

An outbound-only connector on your network, posting draft journals into BTMS for review.

1. A small connector on your network

BTMS posting works through a small on-premise connector installed on the same network as your BTMS server, rather than a direct cloud connection, since BTMS itself isn't cloud-hosted. The connection is outbound-only, so there's nothing to open in your firewall to make it work.

2. What lands in BTMS

Confirmed entries post to BTMS as coded journal entries (using bank, purchase, and sales codes), with bank-statement transactions posting as double-entry the same way. Your account codes map across from the chart of accounts you already use, and entries arrive as draft journals inside BTMS, so a final look happens there too before anything is finalised.

3. Setting it up

The connector self-updates, so once it's installed there's no manual patching to keep it current. Confirmed entries only reach BTMS after you've reviewed them, see understanding the review screen, and posting is idempotent, so nothing lands twice even if a batch is retried.
