Comparison
Pileform vs Cybooks: a ledger with an accountant, or the layer that feeds any ledger.
Cybooks pairs a Cyprus cloud ledger with an optional concierge service from a licensed accountant: bookkeeping, VAT, VIES, payroll and year-end done for you. Pileform does one thing under any ledger: it reads the pile, decides the VAT on every line, and posts reviewed entries into Xero, QuickBooks, Business Central, BTMS or Esoft, with a workbook you keep.
If you want somebody else to do the books, Cybooks' concierge is that offer, with software underneath. If you or your practice do the books, in a ledger you chose for good reasons, the problem is still the paperwork: supplier invoices at four or five rates on one pile, foreign invoices under reverse charge, receipts in Greek and English.
Pileform takes that pile as it arrives, decides every line across Cyprus and 54 other jurisdictions, and hands back entries for the ledger the books already live in.
Where Pileform differs
The VAT, the workbook, and the ledger you keep.
Cybooks is a ledger and a service. Pileform is neither; it is the processing and audit layer that sits under either, so the comparison is about where the work happens.
The whole period at once.
One drop of 200 mixed pages, or a folder of scans, or the desktop app, the phone camera and the Android share sheet. Multi-page documents merged, duplicates caught.
Five Cyprus bands, 55 jurisdictions, per line.
19 / 9 / 5 / 3 / 0 decided per line. Cybooks' features page lists four Cyprus rates (19%, 9%, 5%, 0%) as read on 2026-09-05; the 3% super-reduced rate has applied since July 2023. Reverse charge is detected from the invoice wording.
A workbook you keep.
One Excel tab per supplier with the original document embedded as proof, plus journal entries. Yours whatever happens to the subscription, and yours if you change ledger.
Posts into the ledger you already use.
Xero, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Business Central, BTMS and Esoft, after review. Cybooks positions itself as the ledger and lists no Xero or QuickBooks integration.
Computed, never guessed.
Every figure is produced by deterministic code. Anything inferred is flagged yellow for a human; no accuracy figure is quoted because accuracy depends on the document.
Which to choose
Where Cybooks genuinely has the edge.
Choose Cybooks if…
You want the books done for you by a licensed accountant with the software included, or you want one Cyprus-built ledger with live bank feeds from the local banks, VAT and VIES preparation, Intrastat, OSS, fixed assets and an iOS app in one subscription. That is a fuller ledger than we will ever be, because we are not one.
Choose Pileform if…
You or your practice keep the books, in Xero, QuickBooks, Business Central, BTMS or Esoft, and the paperwork is the bottleneck; your pile mixes jurisdictions and languages; or you need the audit workbook with the source embedded and roles that keep posting with the owner.

Running both
Nothing moves; the pile does.
Pileform does not replace a ledger, so there is nothing to migrate. A business on Cybooks keeps Cybooks and takes the CSV or the workbook; a firm on Xero, QuickBooks, Business Central, BTMS or Esoft connects it and posts. The paperwork is the only thing that changes route.
Pileform vs Cybooks, fairly.
Only for the capture and VAT layer. Cybooks is a Cyprus ledger with an optional done-for-you accounting service; Pileform is the layer that reads the pile and feeds a ledger. If you want the books done for you, or one Cyprus system for everything, Cybooks is the category. If you keep the books in Xero, QuickBooks, Business Central, BTMS or Esoft, Pileform is.
Yes. Keep Cybooks as the ledger and run the supplier pile through Pileform for the per-line VAT and the audit workbook, then take the CSV. There is no live connection between the two.
For books, magazines, some medicines and a few other supplies, yes: it has been the super-reduced rate since July 2023, and a tool that only knows four bands treats those lines as something else. Pileform applies all five per line, and never overrides a printed rate.
Because accuracy depends on the document. A clean digital invoice and a crumpled photo of a till slip do not read the same, and one figure hides that. Pileform returns rows in two states, ready to post or flagged for review, so your time goes only to the uncertain ones.
